Subject: BND activity in Freiburg 

Hallo bnd,

You said you were interested in what happened in Germany. [Answering an E-mail from Omslag. Ed.]

Well as far as I know, not much. I think there were two groups planning actions, Greenpeace Berlin, and Umwelt und Projekt Werkstatt (Umprowe) Freiburg. I have not personally been in contact with GP BErlin.

Everyone in Umprowe was really enthusiastic about the idea, however we were all stupidly busy and no one had time to organise anything. On the day two of us turned up, neither of us speaking fluent German, (BND coincided with the peak of the MASSIVE student demonstrations we have been having inGermany and everyone was doing other stuff) so we just cycled around in our funny costumes and made people smile, without a ny political content. (maybe making people smile is equally worth while, though...!)

We'd like to do some anti-consumerism stuff next year, though...
